Open Source High-Availability Clusters with KVM

This presentation was originally scheduled for January 2014, but then snow happened. Then it was rescheduled again. The third time might be the charm?

Madison Kelly will walk us through building a two-node high-availability virtual server cluster. The cluster component is built using Red Hat's High-Availability Add-On, DRBD for replicated storage and KVM as the hypervisor. This talk will be a good precursor for her complete tutorial.

Madison will also demonstrate an open-source dashboard she has written to manage these clusters. A portable cluster will be available to demonstrate the platform, its construction and to highlight the role of robust fault-tolerance in HA systems.
