[kwlug-disc] Interesting problem i had yesterday with Ubuntu

I did not see this, at least for packages installed from the official
repositories.

Packages from PPAs or distributed as standalone .deb, are a different story.
They sometimes get the dependencies wrong, and you can end up with a mess
that way.

But remove something the desktop depends on? I don't recall that happened
to me.
