Yeah, the WebDAV is a bit slow, but it's pretty handy to have everything
in one place - NextCloud.

It does support facial & object recognition with the right plugin
(`recognize` I think?).
Until recently, the NC `photos` app has been a bit clunky, but I think
they've been working on it.
There's also "Memories" app which is nice - works somewhat like Google
Photos.

I've heard great things about immich, including that it can be
configured to use NextCloud's storage location for it's source.
I think the idea is to upload via NC Android app and browse via immich.
I oughta check it out sometime, as everyone seems to like it and now
there's yet another endorsement...
