[kwlug-disc] How relevant/useful is LinkedIn, e.g. kwlug, K-W, Linux, FOSS, news, groups, ???

Here's my take on LinkedIn:

- business news is largely driven by PR/Marketing, so mostly the
companies that focus on that are featured prominently
- groups are mostly spam factories, especially by marketers (so called
"evangelists") and recruiters
- the "newsfeed" is predominately click-bait articles, but when a
connection updates their profile you get notified which can be nice
