Oh yes. It's not a simple cut and dry setup, but once it's running, it's
pretty slick. I only use Kodi and a single Harmony remote as a front end,
everything appears there auto-magically. Wife acceptance factor is high.

As for buffering, I can't remember the last time I saw it do that. The
typical shows we stream are on CBC, HGTV, Discovery and Food Network; some
are 720p, some are high quality SD.
OTA shows are commercial flagged by MythTV backend and show up in Kodi
under the 'TV' menu.
Downloads are dumped into a folder that Kodi scans (Movies and TV)

Once it's up and running, the maintenance is rather low, assuming the
hardware is good.

The one thing to remember when cutting the cord is that you CUT the cord.
TV isn't the good old click on the TV and surf around the channels, like it
used to be. You're now looking at a list of videos in various plugins and
other lists, waiting a few hours, or the next day, for the show to appear,
etc, etc. It really does take time to get used to it; it's a deceptive
switch. You'll feel like you're missing something for a while.

But it saves a hundred dollars a month, so... there's that. :D

All I pay is my $60 35/5 Teksavvy plan.
