Hang on-I ran skype successfully with 14.04 ubuntu (gnome) x86_64 atom
Acer Aspire. No problem, albeit the whole system was a bit slow--but
it worked fine. I have no idea where the kubuntu/12.04/32b restriction
appears to be coming from? Just because of the extra 32b libs?
Anyway, the Cam-Mic here is a logitech "golf ball". Only trick is, you
have to select it in the audio input preferences control-panel
*before* starting up skype.
