[kwlug-disc] Where to fix an Acer A500 tablet?

Did you open it up to see if you got lucky and there's an SD card you 
can just replace? If the flash is soldered in, you're SOL.

Might search for the model on YouTube, perhaps someone's done a video on 
taking it apart sort of thing and you'll get a sense of how bad 
(hopeless?) your problem might be?

Every time this sort of thing happens to me (except to my desktops - 
replaceable components), the repair always seems to be more expensive 
than buying a new device, especially as later / faster hardware has come 
along at lower price points in the mean time. USB 3, SATA III, DVI, 
Gbps, HD screens ...
