If you have your email going through gmail in any way it filters out
your own posts. It is a "feature" of the web gmail (since your sent item
shows in the thread) but causes lots of issues for IMAP and POP users.

Since you have a rogers.com address, my assumption is that this does not
apply, but though I would mention it.
