Same experience for me.

On occasion, some applications may encounter problems, and will require
changes to configuration or something.
But I don't recall a situation where an upgrade was unrecoverable, needing
a reinstall for example.

Granted, I don't do those until a month or so after the release, but it's

My personal methodology is to wait until the first point release of the LTS
is out.
For example, in April it will be 24.04.0, and then it will take a few
months until we have 24.04.1.
I never upgrade before that.
