Mint +1, cause I just use, on all machines with desktop, and in all vms in VirtualBox (in Mint) with odd tooling in them, aka purpose-tooled vms.
May be Zorin is also fine, but I am having a mint tea, on Phenom II old box, running that fresh version you've mentioned, odd Dell laptop on Celeron with two cores and CDROM, newish minipc with ryzen, and framework on ryzen.
