I'm a lifelong Fedora user.  But that's the life of Fedora, not me.

I like Fedora:

- its resistance to components that are non-free matches my desires

- it is up-to-date to a fault:
  the flow of updates is prodigious.
  Even so, there isn't much breakage.
  A new release comes out every six months and support is dropped
  after 1.x years
  So: not a great choice for a low-maintanence installation.

- a lot of people maintain Fedora, volunteers and employees

I suspect that apt and friends are faster than rpm and friends.
