[kwlug-disc] Cell phone providers

I put another $100 down in late December 2015 for a 2nd year as the expectation was the package would expire on my one year anniversary. I had only used around 2.5gb in prior year so expected to lose the 17.5gb remaining. Well turns out my package didn't expire and I still have over 17gb remaining and did not have to purchase additional data with the extra $100 I put on the prepaid. So not sure what to say other than it appears to be a great deal. Will see what happens at the end of the year

Herman

About a year ago there was some discussion of ways to get "cheap" data (I use the term loosely of course). Herman responded as below, and this offer still stands (http://www.tbaytel.net/personal/mobility/prepaid/informationplans/). Does anyone have any recent experience with this? Has anyone found anything better than $125 / year for 20 gigs of data? Herman, are things still working for you?

I have just e-mailed the address below to see if that's still a way to get the SIM card.

Thanks,
g
