[kwlug-disc] UBB comes to Teksavvy

So how do we stop this?  Really stop it, not just write stuff on mailing 
lists?

Does this mean calls to our federal politicians?  A letter on behalf of 
the LUG to someone (i.e. maybe a letter of recommendation/concern from 
the lug, without getting political)?  I have no problem picking up the 
phone and ringing my local policitian even if I'm likely to get ignored.

This measure just raised my bill by $15 per month - so someone's getting 
another $200 a year out of my pocket for no change in service or 
product.  One one hand I have the luxury of working from home and a 
great lifestyle so I don't give too toots about $15.  However this long 
term has the effect of stifling the internet and that's something I'm 
very concerned about at a fundamental level.
