Our KODI media centre is currently running on an SSD with 2 x 8TB hard
drives. Currently the drives are just mounted in /etc/fstab. Sunday morning
an rsync job runs to mirror any changes from the primary drive to the
second.
I have already bought a 3rd 8TB drive and I'm thinking of buying another 1
or 2 drives. I'm also planning on moving KODI to a tiny form factor PC and
setting this system up with TrueNAS.
What would be the ideal drive configuration for 5 drives? Capacity would be
nice, but I also don't want to have to re-rip everything, so data integrity
is important. Writes are less of a concern as I tend to batch transfer
stuff every weekend. But if drives are NFS mounted by another machine are
there other concerns? All drives are CMR NAS drives.
