I share your disillusionment with OM. I have had mixed feeling about them since the beginning because, as you said, they appear to contradict what they claim to fight for.

I got emails a long time ago from people who got my address from OM. In their early days, when you signed on to a petition, you had to opt out of having your info shared by unchecking a box. I think they got a lot of negative feedback about that because that check box eventually disappeared.

I thought they'd quit sharing addresses though. I haven't had a 3rd party email in a long time.

Another thing that bothers me is that they integrate a lot of js from google. Can't figure out how letting google track me and gather my data fits in with their vision.

I'm glad to know others (at least one :) ) feel the same.
