I use pobox.com for the moens.org MX domain. I use pobox to host my own email. The webmail interface and spam filtering are quite good. Lots of administrative control over spam filtering. The IP addresses they use are clean, no problem with email connections being refused. For my other users (family members), I forward email to their existing gmail.com accounts. I am using the $50/year tier. The $35 and $20 tiers only support forwarding, not mail storage. Pobox is a well established company with a good reputation, and I have no complaints. They are based in Australia. (They have a calendar integrated into the webmail client, but I haven't tried it.)

Doug.

I'm not really keen on self hosting email (too much upkeep). What I wonder is how are others hosting their domains and email these days?

It is trivial to move my email but I have concerns regarding losing access to my play store purchases (apps, movies, books) also will miss nice things like calendar and storage and chat. Google hasn't released many details on this change it seems like most articles are just speculating. If anyone has any good sources of info I would welcome them.
