[kwlug-disc] Any local providers that can do network wiring?

Hi, I am about to do some renovating. As a result, I will need
to move a telephone wire that currently gives me internet access.
I assume most electricians may have expertise or would it
be simpler to get Bell to do this?

I have noticed that the Bell Modems are vulnerable to external
interference, in particular, the newer power meters on the outside
of the house can cause rebooting so having some shielding put
into the wall during renovations would seem to be appropriate.
Thoughts? Ideally the modem has be moved sufficiently away
from interference or perhaps shielded. I would prefer to
put in a network switch in the center of the house and then wire
every room using Ethernet as Wifi is something I would prefer to
be eliminate albeit the voice agents do not have wiring options so a very
short range wifi hub may be appropriate---do these even exist? Ideally
I would love to build a switch using Raspberry Pi?
