[kwlug-disc] looking for website manage/design/magic guys...

I have a friend who has a brick and mortar business in town, with a website
that also does online sales. For the last couple of years she's been
having problems getting hold of the support team from the company that
hosts her site, so she's been asking me to make simple changes as the need
arises (eg. change the store hours during lockdown, etc..)
I can handle the simple stuff as it's in a WordPress front end, and I know
rudimentary HTML, but I have no idea how to do the deeper e-commerce
portion of the site. So far there's hasn't been much need for the back end
stuff, so we've been ok.
But.. we found out recently that the support guy from the hosting company
is having personal/health issues and subsequently is no longer available to
help her out. He basically told her to go find another company to host for
her.
So my question is... can any of you guys do it? Does anyone in this group
do web hosting and support for a living? You wouldn't have to stay with
the WordPress format if you didn't want to, I would imagine. The store
owner is really nice, but has no clue when it comes to tech (she's still
using an old Blackberry phone, to give you an idea). She knows what she
wants on the website, but she won't get in the way as far as the "how you
do it" portion goes.
If anyone's interested in taking a swing at this, let me know offline, and
I'll discuss with the store owners.
Thanks,
Jeff
