[kwlug-disc] Having trouble with some Dell Precision T5600

Although it seems strange we’ve also run into intermittent problems with various systems caused by a bad 3v CMOS battery, though that system is new enough I’d expect the battery should be just fine.

That said we had 2 systems last week that replacing the CMOS battery (one on a RAID card) fixed a “dead” system. Normally we measure the battery using a multimeter. New CMOS batteries measure over 3v (around 3.27 if I remember correctly).
