I gave up on Android boxes because of poor performance and the 
impossibility of upgrading without buying a new box. Also, my VPN app 
wouldn't stay connected. Instead I bought an low-end Zotac Zbox 
bare-bones and put Kubuntu on it. I run Kodi, etc on it as well as 
software for my security cameras. It has 3 outputs, so I can run Kodi on 
my TV while keeping an eye on the security cameras on my computer 
monitor which has picture in picture. I am not currently subscribing to 
Netflix, but I have a Roku stick which has a Netflix app on it as well 
as other popular channels like Britbox. I use it for VMedia TV as well 
as for some of the many free TV channels with old movies/TV shows and 
foreign media. (Currently slogging through a 165 episode Korean 
historical costume drama.)
