Hello again,

Some of us will be meeting again this Saturday to go through more
Computer Recycling laptops. We'll start around 4pm, but if you cannot
arrive on time then that is okay.

There is a (not so) secret phone number to call to get into the
building. If you don't have it and want it, contact me offlist.
If a secret phone number is of no use to you because you don't have a
cellphone, contact me by Friday afternoon and we can make other
arrangements to let you in. In the worst case the GRT terminal on
Ontario and Charles still has payphones (!).

I do not know whether anybody else has found these sessions rewarding,
but I think they have been worthwhile, in the sense that working
together on a shared task feels like an accomplishment. If you have
been ambivalent about participating but need some encouragement to
jump in, consider this message that encouragement. You do not need to
know much about laptop repair (or even about computers, to tell you
the truth) to participate and be productive.

I expect that life will be getting trickier this session. There are
some laptops to investigate that may not have power supplies. There
are also a bunch of Dell laptops I have been avoiding because they all
take the same PA-12 adapter, but we have way more laptops than
adapters (and we need to keep some of the Dell adapters in-house). I
do not expect that anybody has spare Dell PA-12 adapters to donate,
but if you do they would be greatly appreciated.

As with last month, any 2.5" SATA drives would also be appreciated.
I am hoping to fix a few SATA computers this round, but because our
stocks are still low this will necessarily be limited.

- Paul
