I have always found that buying used Sony Android phones works well for me.

Got an Xperia Z1 the other day for $240, unlocked, with a charging dock.
This is my fourth Sony Android phone in a row.

A relative of mine got a BLU phone for his mom, and says she is happy with
it (bought it from Amazon).
