[kwlug-disc] Shaw Communications is buying Wind Mobile

Not sure if the purchase will mean increased rates, but we had Shaw cable
in the late 90's in Barrie and it was far better than Rogers (there was
some weird buyout/switch). We never had one issue with Shaw and had
constant issues with Rogers when they first came to the city - slow, email
was problematic, it was a flipping mess. Hopefully Shaw brings that
flawless level of quality we had to the Wind network. Right now I can't
even make phone calls if I walk from the front of the Queen Street Commons
to the back (I suppose the parking garage is at fault, but I'm pretty sure
there are Rogers/Bell customers who can make calls there). Wind said they'd
look into it, but I'm skeptical.
