That assumes they are working and viable on a go forward basis. e.g.
Working batteries, at least one USB port (bootable), and so on.
Part of Paul's call for help is first in determining that.
No doubt it won't be too difficult to usefully distribute, but first he
has to find out what he has, if anything, to distribute at all.
Let alone not so slow or loses power as soon as you disconnect the AC
that it's essentially useless to whomever it's given. Making the
recipient feel cheated at being given a 'laptop' that isn't able to
operate as what any recipient might reasonably expect of a laptop.
First things first - first he needs bodies to determine and give him a
list of viable hardware. And viable to what extent - ac terminal only,
openwrt capable only, or full fledged viable laptop with a couple
hours, at least, of battery time.
All of which takes bodies and time, and that's what he's called for,
first. If you can help with that, he's asked people to let him know.
