That reminds me...

OpenWRT+Asterisk could be an inexpensive, flexible solution to Darcy's
voicemail-to-email problem.  Even with a small UPS, a 10W router will
run for a substantial period of time off-mains.  Even send you a
farewell e-mail before its demise.
