[kwlug-disc] Linux-compatible eSATA expansion cards

I tried to buy a bare 3TB drive to put in an eSATA enclosure and was talked
out of it by the sales guy. I'm still not entirely sure what his deal was,
but he was a sales guy. And the external USB drive with the PCIe card was
cheaper than the bare drive. Which they didn't have in stock anyway.

And then it died 6 months later. And I'm never buying a Seagate again.
But I digress.

My point is, if you're buying an entire external storage *system*, drives,
interface card and all, you're probably better off going with USB 3.0
because it seems to have more of a future than eSATA. Not that there's
anything wrong with eSATA. I *like* eSATA.

Darcy.
