"terms"

Right, but I thought that was to announce, not discuss. No?

[Which I guess speaks to a footer for announce - see <this page> for
other available mailing lists? Here's how to unsubscribe ...]

Guess the form column heading should be changed to: Give e-mail if you
would like to receive announcements?

 > So, to be safe, Paul should send out such an email.

Would a single e-mail do it? Would this not have to be periodic? Monthly
even? (Dunno, I'd consider such spam in and of themselves!) [I know I'm
on the list, yes I want to be on the list, go away now!]

Would this be easier to just provide notice, unsubscribe everyone, tell
them to resubscribe if they wish to participate?

- bonus if you can pre-vet all those already subscribed.

Guess you'd lose any set mailman options, and that probably wouldn't be
good. Instead of unsubscribing, set everyone to out of office pending
affirmation of desire for list membership?

PITA, but presumably one off?

Paul, for any such process, let the admins know what process you decide
/ how they can help. Tracking the asked / answered / kept / deleted will
be onerous, and the burden can be spread.
