I am sure there is a lot of code written in-house to support the old Xen 
infrastructure, as well as networking. However, with RHEL 6 and now 7 
now supporting Xen, and given RHEL's (and CentOS's) presence in the 
server/DC world, I anticipate you will start to see KVM come on line as 
these companies update old tools/write new tools.

KVM is just so much simpler that the cost savings from reduced support 
and maintenance overhead alone will start to weigh in KVM's favour. It's 
just a matter of time, I think.
