Yes, but as the article notes, there is no guarantee that the API won't 
change underneath you - thus you are at perpetual risk at having an 
unknown number of scripts break at every (security) update. Therein is 
one of the problems. The article also notes the lack of scriptability.

My sense is that they are operating in a world of solving a problem 
today. There seems an obliviousness to the fact that today is a moving 
target.
