[kwlug-disc] fwd: win 8 out and Linux Mint 16 in

I boot Ubuntu 13.10 from USB on my (low-end) Asus Win 8 laptop. It took me
awhile to figure it out. I can leave all the fastboot and secureboot settings
alone, if I hit the ESC key to get a boot menu. But it has to be Ubuntu
12.10 or above to work. I believe I read there's only 1 other distro
(Redhat??) that
can do this.
