[kwlug-disc] Any experience with cloudatcost.com VPS?

That model is broken IMHO, or they just don't care until they sell off the
first 10k. Sell fast, to get the name out, or sell fast and watch it die
once it's all sold. Tell me about the network performance/cpu performance
once they're under some load/sell the 10,000.

However, they are called 'Developer 1/2/3' which could mean there is some
fine print on what you can do with them. Proof of concept development
ideas, a box to throw crap on, sure, but for anything legit, no thanks.

Though I may get one to see if I can actually get what they're offering.

I took them up on their one-time $35 VPS. It’s what you’d expect. 512MB of
RAM and 8GB of HDD doesn’t get you too terribly far but it’s not bad for a
throwaway setup. Speed is reasonable, and it seems reasonably well
connected. I think that a better-spec’d (and thus more expensive) VPS from
them would work well.
