[kwlug-disc] rogers cable modem upgrade?

Did they give any indication that the pricing was time limited? e.g. One
year? (And I'll guess you got a better price for bundling?)

How has netflix been for you, on Rogers, quality / speed wise? Are you
always getting HD, no glitches, out to a 'full' sized TV?

When I was last in to Natural Sound, some years back, he showed me
Roger's digital going out a projector to a screen on the wall. As part
of the conversation he noted that Roger's speed was up, down, all over
the place, at various points in the day. e.g. They downgrade from HD to
SD at various times to conserve bandwidth.

Have you encountered any speed / quality issues? Not just in TV, if you
know, but in netflix? (Always getting 1080p?)

Also, apparently Acanac has the same unlimited deal, $40/month
(http://www.acanac.ca/cable.html). Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks for anyone's thoughts.
