[kwlug-disc] Raspberry Pi alternatives

I came across this set of dev boards, which seem to overcome many of
the issues inherent in the Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately they seem to be
less readily available:

They've got them at Digikey, Mouser, and Newark - all have "Canadian"
presence, but none are really Canadian companies like Sayal or
Creatron.

Do you think this or other alternatives are worth investigating?
