I'm not so sure this is the wrong place.

It certainly gave me a D'oh! moment - it's the first message on this 
topic I have seen saying "Hey Paul, do you need a hand at all?"

Nothing wrong at all with such a message, here.

Let alone the whole auditing idea is a really good question.
