[kwlug-disc] Is GIMP pro-quality?

I am no graphic designer myself, but I have worked with a couple
who are used to GIMP and swear by its capabilities. These
are open source fans though, so ...

So making a living as a graphics designer and GIMP as the tool is
feasible from this tiny sample.

I heard that GIMP user interface will be revamped soon ...
