Another idea is a set of outdoor speakers running to a PC or stereo and an 
RF remote control. Maybe it's too expensive.

Another idea is the LCD panels usually used in MythTV boxes. Run a cable to 
an internal PC and set up lircd to change channels on a button press. You 
might have to dop something to make the LCD weather resistant.

Then there is a shower radio.

OpenWRT router (eg Asus WL500gP) with a USB sound card?  Low WAF/SOAF
for sure.

Better is probably a lots of low guage speaker wire and VNC activated on
a client Myth box.
