Right, but like I said, there aren't a whole lot of newcomers to see 
it at the moment. And by the time there are, this thread will have 
long passed, in e-mail. If mailman sign up is a problem, I'm not 
really expecting them to get as far as searching the archives. And if 
they do, I expect them to realize this is a long past thread. 
Especially if by that time there are other new user question threads 
to make it obvious that this is an old, old, thread - by then.
