  i pointed that out but she was prepared to settle for that, given

1) it really did appeal to her sense of aesthetics, and
2) the 15% demo discount.

  she paid the extra $129 (ouch) for the installation and setup of
kaspersky AV, so i think she's safe.  and she immediately downloaded
the flock browser so she didn't have to deal with IE.  this system is
almost exclusively for surfing and social networking while on the road
so it's perfect for that.
