Raspberries are not in season until July, but already John Eddie Kerr
has treated himself to a second helping of Raspberry Pi. Back in 2013
John gave a (rather well-received) presentation about the ridiculously
popular $30 computer, and this month he follows up with a
presentation about its successor, the Raspberry Pi 2.

Speaking of educational adventures, we are trying something new for
the second half of Monday's meeting: an open Q&A session, where
audience members will bring their questions and other audience members
will offer answers that (maybe?) take the form of quick ad-hoc
presentations on the topic. If this exercise turns out to be awesome
then we will slot it in for future presentation slots, so please bring
some questions to ask (and/or answers to give).

In other news, summer festival season is upon us, and local Free
Culture advocates are keen to participate. Stephen Paul Weber and
friends are hoping to have a Free Culture booth at this year's Open
Streets Uptown Waterloo festivities (http://www.openstreetsutw.ca).
They intend to give away CDs/DVDs, show short films, play music, and
answer people's questions. They are looking both for booth helpers
and people to come out and visit them. If you would like to get
involved you can email Stephen at singpolyma at singpolyma.net .

The Waterloo Region Drupal Group is participating in the Drupal North
conference from June 25-28, and they are inviting members of the
community (website designers, themers, business people looking for web
presences, coders, and others) to participate. This conference is
noteworthy because (a) the local group is participating and (b) the
conference is completely free of charge. If you would like to
participate, visit http://drupalnorth.org

That's it for this month's meeting announcement. Monday's meeting will
be held at the usual location:

St John's Kitchen
97 Victoria Street North
(at Weber)
Kitchener

Park your cars in the thrift store parking lot and your bicycles along
the side of the building. For maps and pictures of the location, visit
http://kwlug.org/sjk

The meeting begins at 7pm; the venue opens at 6:30pm or so, and setup
helpers are always welcome.
