Yes, on my Debian Bookworm with LibreOffice 7.4.7.2.

I thought at first I needed more package installed, but even with a
large whack of libre* packages, it didn't work.

But if I click Tools | Spelling... and then the Options button in that
dialog, I get option to "Get more dictionaries online..." at the bottom.
I installed English and the Oxford dictionary and closed the dialog.
These ended up under ~/.config/libreoffice/ somwehere.

Then I clicked Tools | Language | For all Text | English (USA).
There was a Canada option too, but it didn't work.  The USA one
worked, immediately showing red squiggly underlines in my test
document.

Good luck.  It seems a bit fiddly.
