The https://meshcore.io site lists How to Get Started.

In essence, you'd like to choose a companion radio that's listed on the
https://flasher.meshcore.io list as a least-resistance start.

Personally, I think the RAK (nRF) series radios are easier to flash with
linux (either Debian 13 or Ubuntu 2x), due to built-in usb drive
support. Just "drag'n'drop" the right uf2 file, and it reboots itself
when the copy is done.

The ESP32 series radio web flasher doesn't work with snapped chromium
due to missing serialapi stuff (gadget?). Firefox is only now starting
to do serialapi support. I note, there is a cli esp32 programme, but
haven't had much luck figuring out what incantation it needs.

Neither the Linux meshcore app or webapp (1.44) can use ble or
apparently usb. Use the phone app?ble instead.

When you connect to your newly flashed companion, you can easily choose
the Radio Setting preset for us/ca. We're mostly in the YKF area, and
we're using Experimental Settings Default Path Hash Size of 3-byte
{sic]. Flood advert to tell anybody listening about yourself, and you'll
hear others periodically advert too.
