Reason I say that, I know many Menno guys & gals from Kitchener and all, to
a man/woman, pronounces Kitchener as Kitchner.
"e" might be an expensive vowel in their culture?

I've been married into a lapsed Menno clan for the last 36 years, so I
granted myself license to joke about it, heee.
