Thought I'd repost this here so it's more visible.... Already messaged it
out a few places.

I just booked the mobility bus to attend, so I can come hang out and chat
and maybe help with some of the installs.

Probably a good idea to bring a laptop, some USB sticks pre-formatted with
distros (I'll probably use Ventoy), and any Linux propaganda ^H^H^H^H^H^H
swag/presentations to give out or show off.

kwartzlab (Maker Space in Kitchener) is hosting a "Ditch Windows Embrace
Linux!" event on October 20 at 7PM, which is open to Members & Guests:

With windows 10 ending support ending, learn how to switch to Linux from
windows! We'll be going over how to install Linux, cover what the heck a
distro is and how to find alternatives for software you're currently using
and how to keep your system up to date. If you've got any specific use case
that you need covered feel free to reach out ahead of time and I can
research some beforehand.

We'll also cover how to use a second hard drive for Linux if you want to
dual boot with windows.

Second half of this workshop we'll be helping participants install Linux on
their devices. If you've tried switching  to Linux and got stuck somewhere
feel free to join and we can help you out during the second half.
Participants should have a hard drive that can be wiped on their system.
(Laptops are ideal but we'll have some stations where people can set up a
tower as well)

For those curious we'll be walking through how to install fedora and
potentially Linux Mint for older devices
