[on server] Except LXD with newer version that also runs VMs was snappy, needing undated and snappy ZFS version, if I am not mistaken, and that was ... unusual, but following standard on Ubuntu ...., that we've just replaced with Debian Trixie under our webconference.kwlug.org instance.
