Agreed, but I expect the answer is "no Snaps", even though there's 
nothing really wrong with them.

They're even pretty good, although I prefer to avoid them for GUI 
applications.

This is the answer (IMHO) - they've been quietly improving on a weekly 
basis for a couple (few?) years now and it's quite remarkable.

Instead of fighting Gnome to get features re-implemented, KDE supports 
everything one wants and then some.

As the basis for Steam decks, and with the contributions from Valve, are 
proof of its maturity. The best tools of any DE.

And it's not as resource intensive as often thought - another area 
that's seen improvement.

Could not agree more. Where security, testing, etc. are concerned, it's 
generally good to be as up-stream as possible.
