I've been using Canspace.ca for registration for over a decade, CA$13 for a
.CA and $18 for a .com.  I don't ask much just registration and DNS (free
with registration). I wish they did dynamic DNS though.

For VPS I picked Hetzner last year. 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40GB storage, 1TB
network for €4.50 and another €0.59 for a static IPv4 address.  That's
about CA$8.15. it's the regular price.

I run mail through Gmail for the family (4 people) and alias off a few
addresses to relatives. It's the priciest part of this at about CA$40, and
it just went up because of AI which none of us use. If all I wanted was to
run a mail server I'd set it up myself on a VPS. But the spam filtering is
too much bother. If I think of it per person it's not too badly priced.
