That is exactly how I feel.

And even that controversy was not that RMS himself did something wrong.
Rather he defended a long time dead friend/mentor (Marvin Minsky) who
was alleged to be involved in Jeremy Epstein's parties (under age girls and
such).

What about a family member defending another member who is accused
or convicted of heinous crimes? An example from past weeks is a parent
defending a son who actually killed people (e.g. Alec Minassian of Toronto
van massacre, and Alexandre Bisonette of the Quebec City mosque massacre).
Should these parents lose their jobs too?
