[kwlug-disc] Xubuntu 32bit CD-ROM image?

Hello all.

A friend has an ancient IBM Thinkpad 390E for a specific hardware running
XP SP3
(interface to car engine computers).

He upgraded the hardware and needs to install XP on it. Problem is the
partitioning
is not right. Told him I could give it a try, thinking that using Linux I
can delete all
the partitions then XP will go on a clean slate.

The issue is that the 32bit image of Xubuntu (18.04
<http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/xubuntu-releases/18.04.2/release/>, back
to 14.04
<http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/xubuntu-releases/14.04.5/release/>) are
all DVD images
with over 900+MB in size, and that fits on a DVD, but not a CD (which this
laptop has).
I also think that it cannot boot from USB, since there is no such option in
the BIOS.

There is 'legacy floppy' in the BIOS. Would that option make it possible to
boot from USB?

I do have blank CD-ROMs. If someone has a link to an Xubuntu ISO image that
would
fit on a CD-ROM, please let me know.
