[kwlug-disc] Certification: Linux Foundation? Red Hat?

I did the LPI cert a few years ago.  It was nice that it got bundled with
CompTIA's Linux+ and SUSE certifications.  Recently I got an email saying
that I have to write it again before it expires.  I'm hesitating on whether
or not to stick with LPI.  Since I work in a Red Hat shop, I'm leaning
towards getting an RHCE or RHCSA cert instead.  It will probably be more
work but I think that RHCE would have a lot more clout than Linux+ or LPI.
Just my opinion....

There's always a debate as to whether or not certification is worth it to
employers, but in my job hunt it helped that I was both Linux and Windows
certified.  And of course, having some experience to go along with the
certs never hurts.  I think that having both experience and a whack of
certificates make a resume stand out.  YMMV.
