I did not see this in the watcamp newsletter, so here goes ...

September 30th is International Astronomy Day.

The local KW RASC is organizing a starparty at Waterloo Park.

Location: Waterloo Park, Westmount entrance, go across the field
to the bandshell.

Date and Time: Saturday, September 30th 2017, starts at sunset (7 pm),
and goes on as long as there is interest and the skies are clear.

You can definitely see the moon and Saturn, and some star clusters.
Andromeda Galaxy and Neptune later in the evening.

The weather is looking promising so far, but check Saturday morning.

If you find it interesting or have general questions, you can come to
the October 2nd meeting of the KWLUG where I will talking about
Open Source Software for Astronomy.
